OUR MINES.

NEW PRINCE IMPERIAL.

A portion of the No. 2 reef in the No. 7 level crosscut was broken morning, but the quartz has not yet been taken down to the floor of the drive. The reef is six inches wide in one end, and rather smaller in tbe other. The country is an excellent class of tandstone, and though none of the precious metal has yet been seen, gold is sure to be found as the lode is driven on. The manager estimates that the winze is about 25 or 30ft seaward of the point at which the reef has been tooch'pd, (and as soon as possible he will start driving in that direction. NEW NORTH DEVON. The reef was again broken down in the western drive from the El Dorado tunnel this morning, with the encouraging result that gold was seen freely in the footwall portion of the lode, and several pounds of quartz rich enough to be clashed as picked stone separated from the general dirt. The gold is freely distributed through the stones picked out, not being confined to a single large blotch or streak. The quartz carries a good deal of mineral, and also contains a large portion of the floury lubstance which is so favorably looked upon as an indication of the proxmity ot the precious metal on this field. NEW EUREKA (OTUNUI). The manager to-day banked 41ozs lldwts of gold, the result of an interim retorting. The battery was engaged all last week on company's dirt, and is still pounding away on it, so a substantial yield may beexpected by Christmas. GOLD RETURNS. Dabt.—rMcCormick and parly have banked 14dwts gold. MoANATAifii.—Williamson and party have finished a crushing for the result of loz Bdwts gold.
