■ Medical ( . — FIEST PRIZE A.A. and P.A. EXHIBITION, 1883. — £1,000 KEWABB.—Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GREAT FEW ZEALAND EEMEDY FOE CLEANSING, PURIFYING, AND INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. fTIHE Proprietor, in explaining why he has not for some time pushed the sale of the above, JL would state that he received such a serious check hy the disastrous fire which destroyed costly appliances and a munificent stock of prepared herb 3 (recently replaced), arid ho Ins not therefore been in a position to come before the public. He has not been able to Hufcijify all the local and foreign demands, and was unable to administer as extensively as he could have desired to the wants of a suffering world. MR HITCH ENS is now happy to state that he ia once again in a position to supply this health-gmng Medicine, which he is convinced will, " with the blessing of God," cure almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet gentle operation. Iv coming before the public and planting his standard once more on the ramparts of the great enemy of mankind—i.e., sickness —he trusts that an overruling Providence will blees his future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this evening's Star appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchens, one of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no further comment than to say that bis illneßS was of a mOßfc severe type, bafiling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the better. Here is what Captain Faeqtthab says of JEUTCHENS' BLOOD RESTORER :— ' / . Anckland, October 15, 1883. —Dear Sir, —Eor twelve months I suffered severely from eiciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that after taking it for three months I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faith in it at first, but the result was such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.—l am, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Eaequhab, Master Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. The Proprietor would here intimate that £1,000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Institution if the good done by his Medicine haß been over estimated. The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who dispute the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He is also willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attended the patients and have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put relative to the facts of the cases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motivea of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personul acknowledement 'would add increased brilliancy to the fat>e of the medicine. Mr Alex. EaOlbton, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, Buffered with & paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pronounced the case hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to give Hitchens'a Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better j and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to health and strength. Mr D. E. Chisholm, Agent for Mr Hitchens.—Dear Sir, —It is with heartfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Diaher, who spoke in eulogistic terms of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased, and she is making rapid progress, and ib now enabled'to resume hor household duties. Acting so beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, and should impress upon these who are similarly Buffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe mo, yours very Bincerely, THOMAB BROWN, Brittania Heights, Nelson. Maraiti (near Ho wick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. Hitchehs.—Sir,—l had been for five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improvement, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to flay after four bottles and the use of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and give this what publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby. —Yours, most respectfully, CHARLES MQRG-AN, Maraiti. . . .. ' Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Deb. 1,1882. Me Hitchens.—Dear Sir, —Aa you have aeked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to use your Blood Restorer, and the effect it had on me, I will simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpless, I do not know j but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for nine months, and had to be lifted like a baby, and my taste was entirely gone. Dr — '• said I had an affection of the spine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to see me, and I waa told that I would probably live only a short time, and it was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and felfc as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told him. He at once said, "Let her take Mr Hitchen's Blood Bestorer, for I believe that will put her all right." I did bo, and after using the third bottle in the third week, I began to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subsequent bottle seemed to be doing me more good. The result is that after using eight bottles, lam now quite well, do my own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite as well as when I first came to New Zealand five years ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but most likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your hands. —I am, dear Bir, youra faithfully, FLORA NICOL. Witness—HENßY HARTNOLL, Nelson street. I have much pleaeuro in testifying to the perfect accuracy of the above statement.—N. McMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. H. A. H. Coxlis Bbowne'3 Chlobodt.ne, has earned for itself, not only in HindostEra, but all over tho Eaet. As a remedy of general utility, we much question whether a better is imported into the country, and wa shall be glad to hear of its finding a place in every Anglo-Indian home. The other brands, we are Wppy to say,are now relegated to the native bazaars, and, judging from their sale, we ncy their sojourn there will be but evanescent. We could multiply instances ad infinii mof the extraordinary efficacy of Db. Collis Bsowne'b ChIiOBODTNe in Diarrhoea and Dyt^ntery, Spasms, Cramps, Neuralgia, the Vomiting of Pregnancy, and aa a general sedative, that nave occurred under our personal observation during many years. In Choleraic Diarrhooa, and even in the more terrible forms of Cholera itself, we have witnessed its surprisingly controlling power. We have never used any other form of this medicine than Collis Browne's, from a firm conviction that it is decidedly the beat, and also from a sense of duty we owe .to. the profession and thepublic, as we are of opinion that the substitution of any other than Collis Browne's is a DELIBEBATE BSEAOH 03?
