Medical — FIRST JPEIZR A.A. and P.A. EXHIBITION, 1883. — <£I,QQO REWARD.-Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GEEAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOR CLEANSING, PURIFYING, AND INVIGOEATING THE BLOOD. nnHE Proprietor, in explaining why be has not for some time puahed the sale of the above, JL would state that, ho received such a serious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and he has not therefore been in a position to come before the public. He has not been able to satisfy all the local and foreign demands, and was unable to administer as extensively ac he could have desired to the wants of a Buffering world. MR HITCHSNS is now happy to state that he is odco again in a position to supply this health-giving Medicine, which be ia convinced will, " with the bleesing of God," euro almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet gentle operation. In coming before the public and planting his standard once more on th« ramparts of the great enemy of mankind— i.e., sickness—he trusts that an overruling Providence will bless his future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this evening's Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchens, one of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no further comment than to ssy that his illness waa of a most severe type, baffling the skill of medical mon, while other I infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for- the better. Here is what Captain Fakquhae saya of HITCHKNS' BLOOD RESTORER :— Ancklond, October 15, 1883. —Dear Sir, —For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleoeure in testifying that after taking it for three months I completely recovered tny health. I may say I had no faith in it at first, but the result, was euch a thorough cure that I consider it mj duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curative powerß. —I am, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabqtthae, Master Mariner, j^onsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. The Proprietor would here intimate that £1,000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Instilutim if the good done by his jyieoicine has been over estimated. Xho Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who dispute the veracity of testimonials, aad he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. Ho is also willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who bavo attended tbe palients und have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put rolative to the facts of the coses quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, beou excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknowledeuient would add increased brilliancy to the ia ;.e of the medicine. Mr Axex. EaGI/ETON, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, suffered with t> paralysed arm, with every indication of the diaense spreading through the body. The doctors pronounced the caae hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to give Hitchena'a Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better; and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to health and strength. Mr D. R. Chisholk, Agent for Mr Hixohens. —Dear Sir, —It is with heartfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Disber, who spoke in eulogistic terms of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased, and she is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting so beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, and should impress upon thgse who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe me, yours very sincerely, THOMAS BROWN, Britf.ania Heights, Nelson. Maraiti (near Howick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. Hitchens.—Sir, —I had been for five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twine under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improvement, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottles and the uso of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and {live this what publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Mb Hitchens. —Dear Sir, —Ab you have aaked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to uee your Blood Restorer, and the effect it had on me, I will simply cay that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helplessj I do not know; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for nine months, and had to be lifted like a baby, and my taßtu was entirely gone. Dr said I had an affection of the spine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to see me, and I was told that I would probably live only a short time, and it was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and felt as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told him. He at once said, "Let her take Mr Hitchfin's Blood Restorer, for 1 believe that will put her all right." I did so, and after using the third bottle in the third week, I began to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subsequent bottle seemed to be doing me more good. The result is that after using eight bottles, lam now quite well, do my own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite ao well as when I first came to New Zealand five years ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but most likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your hands. —I am, dear eir, yours faithfully, FLORA MICOL. Witness—HENßY HARTNOLL, Nelson street. I have much pleasure in testifying to the perfect accuracy of the above Btateinent.—N. MoMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. H« A^ H. Collis Bbowne'b Culobod^nk, has earned for itself, not only in Hindustan, but all over the East. As a remedy of general utility, we much question whether a better is imported into the country, and wa ehall be glad to hoar of its finding a place in every Anglo-Indian home. The other brands, wo are happy to eay,are now relegated to the native bazaars, and, judging from their sale, we ucy tboir sojourn there will be but evanescent. We could multiply instances ad infinil m of the extraordinary efficacy of Db. Collis Bbowne's Chlobodyne in Diarrhoea and Dy^ntery, Spasms, Cramps, Neuralgia, the Vomiting of Pregnancy, and aa a general sedative, that nave occurred under our personal observation during many years. In Choleraic Diarrhea*, imd even in the more terrible forms of Cholera itself, we have witnsssad its surprisingly controlling power. We have never used any other form of this medicine than Oollis Browne's, from a firm conviction that it is decidedly the best, and alao from a sense of duty wo owe to the profession and the public, as we are of opinion that the substitution of any other thau Collis Browne's is a DELIBERATE BBBACfI 0?
