The City of Sydney arrived from San Francisco at 4 p.m. to-day. The passage was uneventful. Her European dates are to October 24. Among her passengers were Sir John Hall, Misses J., C. and D. Campbell, Mr and Mrs Babwell, Mr A. McDonald, with wife and daughter, Mr and Mrs A. A. Ferguson, Mr W. Dawson vpith wife and daughter, Messrs Harven, J. S. Blair, W. E. Barrett Hood, A. W. Chater, and F. D. Michaelis, together with R. C. Taylor, E. L. Davis, Wm. Mellin, J. McManaway, F. Marshall, Geo. S. Taylor, E. S. Richards, Jno. Tunderound, Wm. Brown, F. Hill, J. A. Slater, Mary Jane A. Begg, all for Auckland : 42 cabin and 34 steerage for Sydney. She brings 103 tons of freight for Auckland, and 1260 tons for Sydney.
