Ohinemuri Goldfield.

(fkom oub own coerespondent.)

Paeboa. Yesterday.

KARANGAHAKE.

Wootstock.—The reef in the underhand stope shows gold freely in the solid stone, which seems to improve in quality and value as depth is attained upon it. There is a large parcel of crushing dirt now to grass, and crushing operations will be started as soon as the battery is available.

Golden Cbown. —Good headway is being made with the work of driving the new level, and although the country encountered so far is somewhat tight it is all that can be desired for the existence of the precious metal. The face is in a distance of 30 feet, and the manager expects to meet with a good reef in about 70 feet more driving.

Hidden Teeastjee.—The proprietors of this claim are breaking out a crushing from a reef about 11 inches in thickness, throughout which gold is pretty freely distributed, and a battery return of at least 2ozs per ton is anticipated. Maktha. —The reef being operated on in this mine is about 12 inches in thickness, and is identical with that in the Hidden Treasure. The shareholders are driving along the course of the lode, and are paddocking their crushing dirt, which shows gold in sufficient quantities to warrant a handsome return when subjected to battery treatment. OWHAROA. Kadical.—Harris and party, tributers, have just completed crushing a parcel of dirt obtained from an old tip head, which yielded 25ozs retorted gold.
