LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
Wellington, Yesterday. In reply to Mr Wilson, the Colonial Secretary snid that Government were instituting enquiries into the matter of cockfighting on the West Coast.
The adjourned debate on the Federation proposals was resumed, and the resolutions were carried.—The Colonial Secretary moved the re-committal of the Bill generally, which was carried.
This day. The N.Z. Loan Bill and Property Tax Bill were read a third time and passed, and the Council rose at 11.5 p.m.
