AID TO DEEP LEVEL MINING

A telegram was received from our representative this afternoon to the effect that the £400 advanced by Government to the Borough ia connection with the floods had been wipad off, and an additional £100 in connection with the same matter had been granted. The telegram also states that Mr Eraser has managed to secure the passing of a vote of £1000 in aid of deep level prospecting. We must congratulate our member on the success attending his endeavors to forward our interests in Parliament.
