Medical " — FIRST PRIZE A.A. and P.A. EXHIBITION, 1883. — .£I,OOO REWARD.—Caution. Ask for Kitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GREAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOR CLEANSING, PURIFYING, AND INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. mHB Proprietor, in explaining why he has not for EOtne time pushed the sale of the above, X would state that he received such a eerious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed coßtly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and he has not therefore been in a position to come before the public. He has not been able to satisfy all the local and foreign demands, and was unable to administer as extensively as he could have desired to tbe wants of a suffering world. MB. HIICHENS is now happy to state that he is once again in a position to supply this health-giving Medioine, which he is COD." vinced willj " with the blessing of God," cure almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet gentle operation. Iv comiug before the public and planting his standard once more on the ramparts cf the great enemy of mankind— i.e., eickness —he trusts that an overruling Providence will bless his future efforts to mitigate the phyßical woes of man. In this evening's Star appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchens, one of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no further comment than *,o say that his illneßS was of a most severe type, baffling the skill of msdical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the belter. Here is what Captain Farquhae says of .KITCHENS' BLOOD RESTOEEE :-r Anckland, October 15, 1883.—Dear Sir,—For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Eestorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that after taking it for thrue months I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faith in it at first, but the result wss such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curative powers,—l am, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabqtjhab, Master Mariner, Ponsonby.—To E. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. The Proprietor would here intimate that £1,000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Institution if the good done by his Medicine has been over estimated. The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who dispute the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He is ala 3 willing to raeefc in public tbe medical gentlemen who have attended the patients und have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put relative to the facts of the>^ cases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded fron*^* nil testimonials, but then personal acknowledement would add increased brilliancy to the ia^e of the medicine. Mr AiES. EaGletok, Hairdresser, of Queon street, Auckland, suffered with a paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pronounced the caso hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to give Hitchens's Blood Eestorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better ; and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to health, and Bfcrength. Mr D. It. Chisholm, Agent for Mr Hitohens.—Dear Sir, —It iB with heartfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Disher, who spoke in eulogistic terms of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Faver) under its treatment, I am very happy to Btate the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased, and she is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting so beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, and should impress upon these who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe me, yours very sincerely, THOMAS BROWN, Brittania Heights, Nelson. Maraiti (near Ho wick), Auckland, 17 th August, 1882. To H. A. H. Hitchens.—Sir, —I had been for five years Buffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improvement, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottlea and the übo of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and give this what publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Mb HITCHBKS. —Dear Sir, —As you have aeked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to use your Blood Sestorer, and the effect it had on me, I will simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpless, I do not know; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for nine months, and had to be lifted like a baby, and my taeto was entirely gone. Dr said I had au affection of the spine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to ace me, and I was told that I toould probably ,live only a sliort time, and it was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked tbem, and felt as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told him. He at once said, "Let her take Mr Hitchen's Blood Eestorer, for I believe tlaafe will put her all right." I did so, and after using the third bottle in the third week, I began to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subsequent bottle seemed to be doing me more good. The result is that after using eight bottles, lam now quite well, do my own washing, and all tbe housework, and feel quite aa well as wben I first came fco New Zealand five years ago. iam always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam sure I should .not now be well and hearty, but most likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your hands. —I am, dear sir, yours faithfully, FLOEA NICOL. Witness—HENßY HASTNOLL, NelKon street. I have much pleasure in testifying to the perfect accuracy of the above statement. —N. MoMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. H. A. H. Coilis Bsowke's Ohiobodxicg, has earned for itself, not only in Hiudostan, but ali over the East. As a remedy of general utility, we much question whether & bettor is imported into the country, and we shall be glad to hear of its finding a place in every Anglo-Indian home. The other brands, we are \>appy to say, are now relegated to the native bazaars, and, judging from their sale, we ncy their sojourn there will be but evanescent. We could multiply inetances ad infinii m of the extraordinary efficacy of Db. Coliis Beownb's Chiobodynb in Diarrhoea and Dy^ntery, Spasms, Cramps, Neuralgia, the Vomiting of Pregnancy, and as a general sedative, that nave occurred under our personal observation during many years. In Choleraic Diarrhcßa, and even in the more 1 terrible forms of Cholera itself, we have witnessed its surprisingly controlling power. We have never used any other form of this medicine than Collis Browne's, from a firm conviction that it ie decidedly the best, and also from a aenae of duty we owe to the profession and the public, as we are of opinion 4 that the substitution of any other than Collis Browne's is a BsmBEBATH BBBAOH OV FAITH ON THE PAET OF THE CHEMIST TO EEESCBIBEB AHD PAT2BHT AIIKH.
