MIDDLE WARD ELECTION.
(To the Editor of the Evening Star.)
Sib,—-The contest for the vacant Councillorship to-morrow will virtually be between Messrs J. Eenshaw and E. N. Smith—because,'although Mr Harcourt is well and favorably known to the burpesses as a business man, he is quite uqsuitable for the position of a Borough Councillor. Of the other two, Mr J. Eenshaw is—in experience, position, character, and reputation for a faithful attention to duty—incomparably the"better man in erery way. I hare lived in the Middle Ward Bince 1869, and haye always found him worthy to be trusted ia either private matters or public duties. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen vrho have rotes in this Ward, for your own interests rot© for James Eenshaw, and place him 6 t the head of the poll by a large majority.—lam, &c, Industby. October Ist, 1884.
