A half casts named William Smith has been committed for trial at !S garuawabia on a charge of iudeceut asaualfc on a girl seven years of age. The Governors of the Auckland College have established a workshop for the technical training of pupils. The Rev. W. Comrie, who formed the first Presbyterian congregation in Auckland, died at Pukckohe on Saturday, aged 83. He was exceedingly eccentric and very wealthy.
