' Municipal NOTICE. rpHE Council of the Borough of Thames ■*■ hereby give notice tbat at the Session of the General Assembly of New Zealand, now sitting at Wellington, it is their intention to introduce, and endeavor to have passed into Law, a Bill for authorising the said Coun« cil— 1. To sell the whole or any por' ions of all that piece of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, situate in the District of Hauraki, Queen's County, containing two hundred acres more or less, being part of a block of land known as " Ohaene," and numbered 2897, which piece of land is better known as the "Borough Recreation Ground," and to apply the proceeds of every such sale in the acquisition of other lands. 2. To exchange the said lands or any part thereof for other lands. 3. That any surplus moneys from such sale or exchange may be applied by the Council in the improvement of the land so acquired. 4. That all lands to be bought or taken in exchange as aforesaid shall be held by the Corporation of the Borough of Thames upon the tame trusts and for the like purposes as the above-described lands. 5. That the powers hereinbefore mentioned shall expire if not exercised within five years from the date of the passing of the said Bill. A copy of such Bill is deposited at the Besident Magistrate's Court at GrahamstowD, Thames, for public inspection. Dated thin twenty-second day of September, 1884. By order of the said Council. P. 0.
