AUCKLAND.
This day. Sydney in Trouble. One hundred pounds was collected by Sydney Taiwhanga from the natives of JNapier and Rotoraa, to assist in defraying the expenses of Tawhiao's English mission. The subscribers now write to the Maori newspaper ELorimako, asking what haa become of the money, and Taiwhanga replies that " the enquiry is unworthy of notice."
Mr H. H. Lusk, ex M.H.E., will be the first Premier of the Auckland Parliamentary Union.
