Medical — FIEST PEIZE A.A. and P.A. EXHIBITION, 1883. — £1,000 REWARD.—Caution. Ask for Hitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GREAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOR CLEANSING, PURIFYING, AND INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. npHE Proprietor, in explaining why he has not for eotne time pushed the sale of the above, X would state that he received Buck a eerious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and'he has not therefore been in a position to come before thepublic, He has.not been able to Batisfy all the local and foreign demands, and was unable to administer as extensively as he could have desired to ,the wants of a suffering world. MR KITCHENS is now happy to state that he is once again in a position to-supply this health-giving Medicine, which he* is convinced will, "with the blessing of God," cure almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet gentle operation. In. coming before the public and planting his standard once more on the ramparts of the great enemy of mankind— i.e., sickness—he trusta that, an overruling Providence will bices his future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this evening's Stae appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchens, one of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no further comment than to say that bis ilinees was of a most severe type, baffling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were trieo without the slightest change for the belter. Here is what Captain Faeqtthak mye of KITCHENS' BLOOD RESTORES :— Anckland, October 15, 1883.—Dear Sir, —For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tri«d various remedies", without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that aftsr taking it for three mouths I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faith in it at first, but the result woe such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.—l am, Sir, faithfully, yours, W. ITa:bqtjha,b, Master Mariner, Ponaonby.— -lo H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. I he Proprietor would here intimato that £1,000 will be forfeited to &?y Charitable Instituti-. n if the good done by his Medicine has been over estimated. The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who dispute the veracity,of testimonials, and ho will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He is aleo willing to meet in public the medical gentlemen who have attended the patients and have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions-ppis: relative tothet'facts of the caßes quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknowledement would add increased brilliancy to the fare of the medicine. Mr AiEX. E^aiiETON, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, suffered with s paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pronounced the case hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to give Hitchens's Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better; and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to health and strength. • Mr D. R. Chisholm, Agent for Mr Hitohens. —Dear Sir, —It is with he artfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Disher, who spoke in eulogistic terms of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to Btate the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased, and she is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting so beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, andshould iinpresi; upon those who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which,; is .inestimable.-r-Believe (me, yours very sincerely, THOMAS BROWN, Brittariia Heights, Nelson. ' Maraiti (near Howick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. Hitchens.—Sir, —l had been for five years Buffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improvement, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottles and the use of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest tfaanka, and give this what publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. . , . ...... ,,,:. Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. j Me Hitchbns. —Dear Sir, —Ab you have asked me to describe my-Btate at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to use your Blood Restorer, and the effect it had on me, I will simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me co helpless, I do noi? know ; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for nine months, and had to be lifted like a baby, and my tasfcs was entirely gone. Dr — said I had an affection of the spine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to see me, and I was told that I loould probably live 'only a short time, and it was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and felt as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told him. He at once said, " Let her take Mr Hitchen's Blood Restorer, for I believe that will put her all right." I did so, and after ÜBing the third bottle in the third week, I began to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my.limbs. Every subsequent bottle seemed to be doing me more good. The result is that after using eight bottles, lam now quite well, do my own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite as well as when I firat came to New Zealand five years ago. I am alwayß happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but most likely in my grav3, if I had not put myself in your hands. —I am, dear eir, yours faithfully, FLORA NICOL. Witness—HENßY HARTNOLL, Nelson street; I have much pleaeure in testifying to the perfect accuracy of the above statement.—N. MoMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. * EL. A. H. In Choleraic Diarrhoea, and even in the more terrible forms of Cholera itself, we have witnessed its surprisingly controlling power. We have never used any other form of this medicine than Collis Browne's, from a firm conviction that it is decidedly the best, and also from a sense of duty we owe to the profession and the public, as we are of opinion .that the substitution of any other than CoIHb Browne's is a deliberate BBBACH OP FAITH ON THE .PAST OP THE CHEMIST TO PEESCBIBEE AHD PATIENT AtIKE We are,; sir, faithfully yours, Svmes and' Co., Members of the Pharm.
