Medical ' . — FIRST PRIZE A.A. and P.A. EXHIBITION, 1883. — <£1,000 BE WARD .—Caution. Ask for Hitchens-^ Blood Restorer, ; THE GREAT NEW ZEALAND! REMEDY FOR CLEANSING, PURIFYING, AKD INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. THE Proprietor, in explaining why he has not for some time pushed the iale of the above, would Btate that he received such a eerioiis check by the disastrous fire which destroyed ■coßtly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently replaced), and he has not therefore been in a position to come before 5 the public. He has not been able to satisfy 'all the local and foreign demands, and was unable to administer as extensively as ho could 'have desired to the wants of a suffering world. MR HITCHENS is now.happy to state ithat he is once again in a position to supply this health-giving Medicine, which he is convinced '. will, "with the blessing of G-od," cure almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet geatle operation. In coming before the public and planting his standard once more on Sthe ramparts of tbe great enemy qf mankind—-i.e., sickness—he trusts that an overruling Providence will blegs his future efforts to mitigate tbe physical woes of man. In this evening's Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitcbens, one of which is from one of Auckland's beßt known citizens. It requires no further comment than •to say that bis illness was of a most severe type, baffling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the feetter. Here is what Captain Fabqtthab says of KITCHENS' BLQOD RESTORER :— Anckland, October 16, 1883.—Dear Suy-r-For twelve months I suffered severely from t sciatica, and tried various remedies, without a^ail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that after taking it for-three months I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faith 'in it at first, but the result was such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.—l am, Sir, faithfully yours, W. Fabqtthab, Master Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. I he' Proprietor would here intimate that £1.000 'will be forfeited to any Charitable Instituticn if the good done by his; Medicine has been over estimated. The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who dispute the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He is alas willing to meet in public the medical; gentlemen who have attended the patients and have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put relative to the facts of the cases quoted. Medical men's names have, from' motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknowledgment would add increased brilliancy to the facce of the medicine. „ , . , Mr Alex. Eaoebiok, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, suffered with » paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pronounced the case hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to give Hitohens's Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better; and "on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to health and strength. ■ • ■ ■ ! ' , ■ Mr D. R. Chisholm, Agent for Mr Hitohens.—Dear Sir, —It is with heartfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Disher, who spoke in eulogistic terms of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy" to state the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased;and she i is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting so i beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy, .and should impress upon these f who are similarly suffering not to overlook this 'epecifio, which is inestimable.—Believe me, • yours very sincerely, THOMAB BROWN, Brittania Heights; Nelson. i - Maraiti (near H«wick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. ' To H. A. H. HITCHBHS.—Sir,—I had?been for five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improve- ; ment, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottles I and the use of your Ointment, I beoame quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and • give this what'publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully, i CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. ■ ■ . - Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Me HIiOHBNB. —Dear Sir, —As you-have asked me to describe my state at the time Mr l McMillan recommended me to use your Blood Restorer, and the effect it had on me, I will > simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpless, I i do not know; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for sine months, and had to be lifted like a baby, and my taste was entirely gone. Dr — — said I bad an affection of the spinej and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to see me, and I was told that I would probably live [only a short time, and it [ was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and felt as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told him. He at onoe said, "Let her take Mr Hitchen's Blood Restorer, for I believe that will put her all right." I did so, and after using the third bottle in the third week, I began to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subsequent bottle seemed to be. doing me more good; The result is that after using eight bottles, lam now quiie well, do my own washing, and all.the housework, and feel quite as well as when I first came to New Zealand five years ago. lam always happy to tell people the good.you did me, for lam sure I should not now be well and hearty, but most .likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your hands. —I am, dear sir, yours faithfully, FLORA NICOL. Witness—HENßY HARTNOLL, Nelson street. I have much pleasure in testifying to the perfect accuracy of the above statement.—N. MoMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland, H. A« H. From Symes and Co., Pharmaceutical Chemists, Medical Hall, Simla, January' 5, 1880 To J. T. Davenport, Esq., 33, Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury, London.—" Dear Sir,—W embrace this opportunity of congratulating you upon the wide-spread reputation this justly esteemed medicine, Db. Collis Bbownb's Chlobodynb, has earned for itself, not only in Hindoßtan, but all over the East. As a remedy of general utility, we much question whether a better is imported into the country, and we shall be glad to hear of its finding a place in every Anglo-Indian home. The other brands, we are happy to say, are now relegated to the native bazaars, and, judging from their Bale, we ncy their sojourn there will be but evanescent. We could multiply instances ad infinit m of the extraordinary efficacy of Db. Coins Bbowne's Chlobodtnk in Diarrhoea and Dyt?ntery, Spasms, Cramps, Neuralgia, the Vomiting of Pregnancy', and aa a general sedative, that nave occurred under our personal observation during many years. In Choleraic Diarrhoea, and even in the more terrible forms of Cholera itself, we have witnessed its surprisingly controlling power. We have never used any other form of this medicine than Collis Browne's, from a firm conviction that it is decidedly the best, and also from a sense of* duty we owe to the profession and the public, as we are of opinion ;that the substitution of any other than Collis Browne's is a dblibbbatb BBBAOH OF FAITH ON TSH PAST OI THB CHEMIST TO PBBSCBtBBE AHD PATIENT AXIKB, We are, sir, faithfully yours, Symes and Co., Members of the Pharm, Society of G-re a Britain, His Excellency the Viceroy's Chemists."
