The lengtto of such Race is one mile or thereabouts, a»d its intended course is southeast. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is three feet by three feet; it is capable of carrying twenty-one sluice heads of water, and the number of 6lKice«heads of, forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate, is twenty«one. NOTICE in therefore given, that »n the 19th day of September, 1884, a License will be granted to the abore-named Chaeles Citbtis and Johw MoWiimams for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this office, not less than seven clear days before that date. . APPLICATION TO FORM A WATER RACE. . ri^HE Hauraki Gold Mining Company X (Limited) have applied for permission to construct a Water Race for mining purposes, commencing at a point at the commencement of the present Hauraki Water Race, and terminating at .the Hauraki Battery at Karangahaki, as shown on plan. The length of such Race is about 26 chains or thereabouts, and its intended course is identical with that of the Hauraki Race. The mean breadth and depth of such JUce is three feet by two feet j ; it is .capable of carrying ten sluice-heads of water, anil the number of sluice-heads, of forty inckes each, which it is proposed to appropriate, is ten. NOTICE is therefore given that on the 19th day of September, 1884, a License will be "granted to the above-named Hauraki Gold Miaiog Company (Limited) for the Water Rase, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office, aofc less than seven clear days before tkat date.
