" A^HABLES CUBTIS and John MoWil\J jxtMß have given notice that they desire to Construct a Water Bace for mining purposm, comtaenciog at a point on ..the Wsitawheta Creek, above the dam of the. Hrfnraki Battery, Ohinemuri, and terminating •bout one mile from the Golden Crown Spur ■a shown on plan. The length of such Bace is one mile or thereabouts, and its intended coarse, is south-east. The mean breadth and depth of tucb Bace is three feet by three feet; it is capable of carrying twenty-one | sluice heads of prater, and the number of sluice>heads of, forty inohes each, which it is proposed to appropriate, is twenty* one. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 19lk day of September, 1884, a License will be granted to the above-named Chablbs CvKtn .and Johk Me Williams for the said Water Bace, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this office, not less than seven dear days before that date. THE Hauraki Gold Mining Company -(Limited) have applied for permission to construct a Water Bace for miniDg purposes, comtneneing at a point at the commencement' of.-the preaent Hnnraki Water Bace, and terminating at the Haiiraki Battery at Karangabakt, ai shown on plan. The length of such Bace is about 2B chains or thereabout?, and its intended course is identical with that of this Haumki $ace. The mean breadth and - depth* of such Aace is thijee feet by two feet; it i« capable of carrying ten iluice-heads of water; and th» number of sluice-beads, of forty inebes each, which it is proposed to appropriate, is tell.
