NEW QUINCE IMPERIAL.
A good haul of specimens was secured from the western stopes above No. 6 level this morning, lcwt being in all bagged. They were obtained from three slopes, the bulk being bagged in the fourth' abore the level, where a good show of the precious metal was left risible. In the western drive, a small white lead on the footwall of the main reef shows gold freely, and a pound or two of fair picked stone were secured from it last night. It is striking towards the reef. There i 3 no sign of the break as yet. CALEDONIAN. Cleaning up took place to-day at the Herald battery for the yield of 65ozs 2dwts melted gold, for which 50 loads of dirt were crushed. The return is payable for the quantity treated. The whole of the dirt camo from the stopas on the Red Queen leader at No 2 level! KUBANUI HILL. The eastern drive on the cro3slode at the Albion 80ft. lerel is being continued as usual, and the junction with No. 1 reef should not be far ahead. The manager has cleaned oat a 100 ft. level crosscut put in frum the Long Drive shaft, and which connects with a wioza sunk on. the No. 1 reef. It istreported that gold was got in this winze, so the lode will be at once sunk on a few feet to test its value. WAIOTAHI. The manager late this afternoon banked 1970zs 2dwts melted gold, being the payable retnrn from 210 tons of general dirt crushed during the past month. GOLD SETUENS. Lonehand.— Adams and party, tributes, have finished a .crushing at Bull's mill for 2ozs 16Jwts of gold Caledonian.—Dryden and party have crushed U tons-for 20 Z3 gold, and 5 loads 7dit fcf ° and Parfcy B*™ So"
