THE Proprietor, in explaining why he has not for some time pushed the sale of the above, would state that he received such a serious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed jostly appliances and a magnificent stock of prepared herbs (recently teplaced). and he bss r>ot therefore been in a position to come before the public. He haß not been able to eot'sfy ill tbo local and foreign demand*, and whs unable to nda-inieter as extensively us he could have desired, to tie vrante cf a suffering world. In coining before the public and planting his standard once more on the ramparts of tie great enemy of mankind — i.e., sickness—he trusts that, an overruling Providence will bless bis future effcots to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this evening's St/b appear n few of the hundreds of testimonials received.by Mr Hitchena, one of which is from one of Auckland's be&t known citizens. If. requires no further comment than to ray that his illness was cf a most severe type, baffling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest change for the better. - Here is what Captain Farqtjhak *: ye of inTCHKNS' BLOOD RESTORER:— Anckla»d, .October 15, 1883.—Dear Sir, —For twelve months I suffered severely from rciaticu, and ire- 1 nsrious noicdu'B, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your bio d Htsloret a trial, which -I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that after tekinp it Ur tlir v moithe I completely recovered my health. I may say I had no faith id it at first, but the rceu't. wes ewch a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknowledge, unsolicited, its curatue powers.—l am, Sir, faithfully youre, W. Fabqtjhab, Master Mariner, Poneonby.—-io U. A. H. Hitchens, Esq. Ihe Proprietor woulrt here intimate that £1,000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Instituti n if the good done by his Medicine has been over estimated. The Proprietor ip prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who dispute the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertuke to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He is aho willing to mcejt in public the medical gentlemen who have attended the patients und Imve pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put idative to the facts of the cases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknowledement would add increased brilliancy to the fa i c of the medicine. Mr ALEX. Eaoleton, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auckland, suffered with c. paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pronour.ced the case hopeless, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when he was induced to give Hitchens's Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better; aad on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to heath and strength. Mr D. R. Chisholm, Agent for Mr Hitchens. —Dear Sir,—lt is with hf artfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitchens's invaluable Blood .Restorer. Being induced by Mr Disher, who spoke in eulogistic terms of its merits, to place my wife (wbo was suffering very acutely with Rheumatic Fever) under Hb treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine has acted quite magically. After a few doses pain entirely ceased, and she is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting so beneficially, I would not be without such & valuable remedy, and should impress upon those who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe me, yours very sincerely, THOMAB BROWN, Brittania Heights, Nelson. Maraiti (near Howick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. Hitcheus —Sir, —I had been for five years suffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in tbo Auckland Hospital, without any improvement, I was induced to give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottlea and the use of jour Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and give this what publicity you wish, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. ~ Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Mb HncHENg.—Dear Sir,—As you have asked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to use your Blood Restorer, and the effect, it had on mo, I will simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helpleoe, I do not know; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for nine months, and had to be lifted like a baby, and my taste was entirely gone. Dr — said I had an affection of the spine, and that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to see me, and I was told that I would probably live [only a short time, and it •was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and felt as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told him. He at once said, " Let her take Mr Hitchen'e Blood Restorer, for I beliero that will put her all right." I did bo, and after using the third bottle in the third week, I begon to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my limbs. Every subsequent bottle seemed to be doing me more good. The result is that after using eight bottles, lam now quite well, do my own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite as well as when I first came to Mew Zealand five years ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam euro I should not now be well aud hearty, but most likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your hands. —I am, dear eir, yours faithfully, FLORA NICOL.
