In Chambers to-day, the application on behalf of the defendant to have the equity suit, Campbell v. Kennedy and others, postponed for a month on the ground that Mr Stout,.a material witness, was unable to leive Wellington, was heard. After argument, the' trial was set down for October 1, when, if Mr Stout was unable to leave Wellington, he will be examined before the Registrar.
