The lDquest in the Kosina Smith alleged chiid-murder case was resumed to-day. The most important evidence was that of Dr. Cobbett, who made the post mortem. His conclusion was that the death was "caused by asphyxia produced by external pressure. There was no emell of laudanum or other narcotic.

In the face of the Rirl'a coafession.the /verdict caused great astonishment, and the police authorities will charge her before the Magistrate with the crime. :
