This day.
The inquest on the burning of Charnock's house at Hunui, on which an insurance of £400 had been effected, was commenced; yesterday afternoon, and several witnesses were examined; Mr and Mrs Charnook declined to give evidence, on the ground that it might tend to criminate them. The inquest was adjourned till this afternoon.
