This day. The report of tho Wellington Meat Export Company shows that the net profits for the year were £1514 6s 9d, after writing off £156 6s 9d (balance of preliminary expenses). The remainder will be carried forward. Tho principal cause which prerented profits, was the heavy storage expenses inpurred on the meat'intended for the Triumph. ' The directors could not recommend a dividend on account of anticipated losses re ventures" by the Euapehu and Florida.
A verdict of "Accidental Death " was returned on the lad killed at the Fetone railway workshops.yesterday.
