Cure for Small-pox.

A correspondent of-the Stockton (Cal.) Herald gives the following as a cure for .small-pox.'. Cut this out for future refer*ence:—"l herewith "impend a receipt which hasl)een used to my knowledge in hundreds of cases. It will prevent or cure the smalNpox, even though the pittirigs are filling, "When Jenner discovered the cow-pox in England/the world of science hurled an avalanche of fame on his head ; but when the most scientific school of medicine in the world—that, of Paris— published this receipt as a panacea for smallpox it passed unheeded. It is unfailing as fate, and conquers ir every instance. It is perfectly harmless' when taken by a well person. It will also cure scarlet fever. Here is jhe receipt as Jhave used it, and cured my children <of scarlet fever —here ' is the-receipt as I have used it to cure the c small-pox, when learned physicians said the uatient must -die: —Sulphate of zinc,' one grain"; fox-glcve (digitalis), one grain; one«hnlf a tea.ipoonful-sugar;' mix with two tablrspooDfuls of water, When the above has been thoroughly mixed add four ounces of waterl 'Take a teaspoon'ful every hour. Eiftier. disease will disappear in twelve hours. For a child smaller doses, according to age.* If countries would compel physicians to use this there would be no need of pest houses.- If you value advice and experience^ use this for that terrible Bcourjte.''
