The inquest on the fire at Charnock's house, in St. Aubyn street, Teas resumed last night, when several witnesses who were exaunced proved that the goods produced were in Cbarnock's house before the fire, The inqueslwas again adjourned until this morning, and is now going on. . The natives who passed through the town on Monday from Parihaka went as far as Mangaone, where they had a meeting, and then returned again this morning for Parihaka, spending several hours in New Plymouth. „ v
*The steamer Irishman, engaged in bringing coal from the Mokau mines, got adrift and. floated to thfe mouth of the river, where it was broken up in the surf.
