The Government have instructed Dr. Eouse, Health Officer for Lyttelton; to inspect the crews and passengers on board sailing and steam vessels coming direct or coastwise from Australian ports. Arrangements hav9: been made for the investigation to be made before the vessels make fast to the wharf, so that as little delay as possible may occur in landing the passengers.
