Kstawios & Co., 177, Q«een rtreet, Auckland, xeport as follow*:—The business in the labor market has ionprofed during the last week, and we hate supplied employers with the following: Station manager, £75 to ' £100 per annum and board; ploughmon, 20s and found} farm hands, 10b to 20s; carters, 20s and found; confectioners and bakers, 30s and foimd; hotel hands, 20s and board; married couples, £65 to £85. We hare registered on our books clerks, etoremen, general farm hands,, carpenters, - engineers, laborers: married couples for station and farms, and general hands. There has been a moderate supply of iromeri secants, and a few engagement* made-as follows: House- - keepers? 10b to 20t; general tervants, 10* to 1 l«s- lady helps, 8a to 10s % cooks, 15s. i Housekeepers and lady helpi are open for engagement, but there is a demand for nursegirls, housemaids, cooks, .parlourmaids, and I / general servants., , ->"
