London, August 1. BoTsqls Attack Suakim. Telegrams from Suakim state that the town was attacked yesterday by a strong force of rebels, who had been gathering in the neighborhood for some days past. The attack was repulsed by the British troops stationed at Suakim, and the enemy suffered heavily. - j The weather is now extremely hot, and the troops are suffering severely from its effects, a considerable number being in the hospital from sunstroke.

Lonjwn, July 30. The Prince of Wales has invited the Agents-General of the colonies to become members of the Executive Commission for the Colooittl Exhibition to be held in tow

There is no doubt but that the creditors will be paid in full, and it is believed that the final call of £5 per share will not be required. , , At a meeting of New Zealand consignors favorable to combined action being taken in regard to the frozen meat,trade, it was proposed that a depot specially for New Zealand meat should be constructed under Canon street railway station. > ' A shipment of New Zealand hops is selling at £7 to £7 10s per cwt. The report of the French Senate leaves the names of {colonies to which recidivistes are to be relegated blank. This concession is due to the protests of Australia.
