Xhe father,-a res-. pectable-looking man, said he was a bookkeeper, but could not get employment for the last fifteen months. Since then he had been doing anything he could to get bread, but it was only about one day a week he could get employment, which was not sufficient to support his family. The children were very neat and clean in appearance, showing no evidence of neglect on the part of the parents. It was clearly a real case of destitution. His Worship granted the application.
