The wicket was;very heavy, owing to the rain that bed fallen. The Englishmen went first (o the wickets, and when the stumps were drawn their score stood at 26 with 3 wickets down. The individual/scores were ~Grrace, c, 8; Horuby, st, 0; Ulyett, b, 5; Barlow, pot out, 5 ; Steele, not oat, 8.

In the House of Commons last night it was announced that the London Government Bill and other measures introduced by Ministers, which were likely to lead,to a lengthy debate, will be dropped for the present session. The Deceased' Wife's Sister Bill, which was recently introduced in the House of Lords, has now been withdrawn from Committee

Ministerial and Opposition caucuses are now actively organising for the purpose of agitating respectively for and against the reform of the franchise. Pabis, July 11. * Cholera. - Telegrams from Marseilles report that cholera is still raging there, no less than 63 deaths having occurred yesterday from the disease. The latest news from Toulon states that the epidemic is somewhat abating, the mortality yesterday having only amounted to twelve cases, which is below.the recent daily average.

The Pall Mall Gazette states that a secret treaty has been entered into between France and Portugal. Arrests hare been made at Trieste of persons who, it is alleged, attempted to injure the Emperor of Austria during a railway journey. :
