Mr H. H. Pitzherbert, a candidate for I the Hutt, addressed the electors of Lower Hutt last night, and received a vote of confidence. He said he would support measures, not menr Nelson, This day.. Mr Levestam addressed the electors of this city last night, and said he would support the coalition of Sir J. Yogel, and Messrs Ormond, Bryce, and Atkinson. He would prefer to follow Mr Ormond, but such a coalition would form a most stable Ministry, possessing the genius, not to say the recklessness, of Sir Julius Vogel, the extreme caution of -Mr Ormond, the honesty of Mr Bryce, and tbe application and hard. work, of Major Atkinson.
Mr Wynn-Williams had rather, a stormy meeting at Woolston, Canterbury, last night, and received a vote of noconfidence, with only twp or three dissentients. A requisition is being signed asking Mr DeLatour, late member for Mount Ida, to contest Newton against Mr Peacock. Mr Locke met tbe electors at Wairoa, East Coast, on Thursday evening, and received an unanimous vote of confidence.
It is stated that the publicans -in Dunedin have resolved to vote as a body for Mr Green, in preference to Mr Stout for Dunedin East.
