Professor Anderson at the Academy.

Another very good house greeted this talented gentleman and his wife at the Academy of Music last night. The principal tricks of the previous evening were reproduced, and caused as much amusement, and amazement as on the occasion of their first presentation, -while in addition some further wonderful exhibitions of mental telegraphy were given, Mrs Anderson correctly writing down numbers whispered into the Professor's ear while he stood in the front seats, no word passing between them. She also divined in the same way the number of a bank note procured from a gentleman in the audience. In the second part Mrs Anderson's " Five minutes in her picture gallery" was as usual excellent, the impersonation of Mrs Brown meeting with especial signs of approbation. The Professor also introduced his wonderful feat of beheading a lady, the deception being ao cleverly carried out as to almost make the audience believe that Mrs Anderson, or someone else had really been decapitated, and her head and body endowed with the power of action afterwards, though her appearance in the Indian basket trick effectually; dispelled the illusion; For tornisjhta new wonder, a ghost or spirit floating in mid-air, is announced in addition to other attractions. A grand midday performance will be given to-morrow, when children will be admitted at half price. '
