This day. At the adjourned meeting of the Licensing Committee to-day the renewal of the North Town Belt Hotel was refused, and that of the Swan Hotel will not be entertained unless the owner (jives a substantial guarantee that a new Hotel will be commenced within six months. The Chairman suggested that the guarantee should be half a year's rent, £225 6s and that it should be lodged with the Mayor and Town Clerk. The final decision was deferred until Friday.
