PENNY READINGS.
(To the Editor of the » Toning Star.) Sib—The suggestion whjch appeared in the Star re Penny readings is a good one, and it ought to be taken up by some of. our young men,, aye, and old ones too. I fefoi iiure that select re««U«g«r~z«aisaiioi)s, &c>, imight occupy very pleasantly a - couple of hours during one evening in the week. The Academy qould, no doubt be - engaged for a small sjim for this philanthropic purpose, and it only requires some energetic persons to start Jb^ thing to make it a success. I ought* to add that '• the fee for admission should be limited to • one penny.—l am, &c,
