After our yesterday's report closed, farther objections to the Kauaeranga rolls were dealt with. Mr W. S. Greenville had pnt in a number of applications made by claimants who required their names enrolled. In support of the claims Mr Fleming, agent for the, owner, deposed that twelve months' rent had been paid in respect of the sections they claimed under. The rent had been paid for a number of sections in a lump sum, by whom he could not remember. • ,

Mr E. W. Hollis said that application hfid been made, and the applicants had been invited to .attend at. the County Office to substantiate their claims, but only two had responded. >■:'.'

Mr J. C. M. Gibson said he had received the applications for enrolment, and exercised his discretion in inserting them on the roll.

Mr M\\\dit daring the hearing of the cases stated that the means taken, to place these names on the roll was an atten^M made to stuff-it.

The Bench decided that the names should be placed qn the roll as the appliv cants, we^e yearly tenants. . '
