ÜbW Find. —The most important, item of news from this mine is the striking of cold in the low level. Although, from the fact of payable quartz having been obtained all the way down in the No. 2 winze, the finding of similar stone in the level was regarded as tolerably certain, it js still satisfactory to have . the actual assurance that the anticipations formed regarding this porton of the mine have been fully realised,, and to know that any lingering doubts that may have existed as. to the permanently payable nature of the reef may now be set at rest. The quartz not in the level is of similar appearance to ♦hat in the winze, which is now within «ome 9or 10 feet of being through. The stone met with in sinking during the week has been of excellent quality, and some of that from the breaking-down on Tuesday was quite equal to anything yet found in the mine.
