This day. Sir George Grey at GisTaorne.

Sir George Grey addressed a large meeting last night when a vote of-con-fidence was carried in him as a leader of the liberal party thoughout New Zealand. Three cheers were given and three groans were given for Eees. Three cheers were given for Gannon.

All licenses were granted up to twelve o'clock, subject to fire aacapes being provided, and other improvements. One new application was refused, as the Bench considered there was not enough trade to warrant the extra license.
