Ike Vanguard Icdo at No. 8 level is at present being driven on seaward, but driving ei;stw:.rd will be commenced shortly. It continues lo lcok very promising, and trial parcels from the foot and hangingtvall portions will be treated next week. The crosscut is aleo in progress, the manager being of opinion that there is another bedy of q«iariz ahead. A capital class of saiidslone is now being passed through. 3he small leader being driven on at No. 7level carries favorable minerals, but has shown no gold yet. EOCKY POINT.
The reef in the southern drive has been once broken down since driving was resumed, and colors of gold were then seen in the quartz. The lode is rather small at present. Passes are being put in, and arise has been started a few i'eet southward of the point at which 20lbs of picked stono was obtained last week. From this the second stope will be carried back to the Adelaide boundary, and the leading stope will be continued over the drive. .
