; f This day. JA. Commission, consisting of Capt. " Hume and Mr Gr. S. Cooper, have been appointed to inquire into the charges preferred against Mr Turnbull, RM., by another official here. The Commission sits within a month.
The Borough Council have unanimously appointed Wm. Noswortby to the combined offices of Town Clerk, Bate Collector, Borough Treasurer, Inspector of Works, and Registrar of Dogs, at £125 per annum. There were nineappli> cations, including one from Wellington, and one from Nelson.
All three Blenheim Licensing Committees have determined to limit the closing hour to eleven.
