Sir Norman Campbell of Eaikoura has been on a visit to this district, with respect to purchasing several blocks ( of land lying 6 miles east of Stratford, of between 70,000 and 80,000 acres, for a syndicate of English farmers, who. are. looking out for a district to settle in.
