Auckland, Yesterday,

The City of Sydney arrived from San Francisco at 4 p.m. She left there May I.lth, and experienced fine weather until the last two days, when she encountered a heavy gale. Her passengers are :■—For Sydney : 38 cabin and 31 steerage..,,. For Auckland: Cabin—Mrs Haslett and daughter, Miss Duncan, Mrs Dort, Messrs Kennedy and G. Lucien, and Master Kennedy ; steerage — Messrs Friedlander, Hamberger, Jackson, Walsh, Anderson, Young, Cruickshank, Newby, Gardiner, Knox, Neil, Doyle, Knox, Aldrich, Metcalf, and Kelian. Among the cargo for Auckland are 974 cases salmon, 216 cases canned goods, 8 bales broom cane, 40 cases dried fruits, and 575 tons of freight for Sydney. The steamer sails for Sydney to-night.
