This day. Telephone Arrangements.

The Postmaster-General has arranged that from the 2nd Jans the Telephone Exchange shall be kept open continuously day and night, including Sundays. This has been done mainly for the convenience of private houses, of which it is hoped a largo number will now join the Exchange. Arrangements, will also be made with the Fire Biigiide stations, by which the locality of a five will at once be telephoned to the Esckingd, so that any subscriber, by ringing up, may learn where the fire is.
