Of the arrivals, 622 were from the United Kingdom, 655 from the Australian coN onies, 35 from Fiji, and 12 from the South Seas; of the departures, 94 were for the United Kingdom, 832 for Australia, 18 for Fiji, 17 for olEer British ports, and 98 for the South Seas. Chinese, 4 arrivals, 23 departures. The Secretary of Telegraphs has the following message :—" London, May 11th, — The trial of the Central New Telegraph Company v. (ho Eastern Telegraph Com* pany concluded to-day, after occupying nine days. The Lord Chief Justice summed up in the Eastern Telegraph Com* pany's favor* and put to the jury the question :—" Did defendants', Eastern Telegraph Company^ through Sir James Anderson and Mr BeDJamin Smith (the Company's superintendent at Alexandria), divulge the contents of the Bur^ leigh message (containing news of the victory at Tel el Kebir?" To this the jury answered: "No," and the verdict was given in favor of the Eastern Telograph Company, subject to a point of law yet to be discussed. ,
