Taipari and Others v. Eickit and Others.—This case was adjourned for the production of the evidence of the County Surveyor.—Alex. Aitken, County Surveyor, knew the road m dispute, and where the stone in question was taken from; it is on a County road. The material removed was taken from the road under permission granted by the County' Council. The plan lodged in the Government office showed the road to be a chain wide. If the County had the means they would widen the road ill along. —The Bench said that the plaintiff claimed the value of the stone removed, and there had been some damage done to the land. Nominal damages, viz.: 55," and costs £2 ss, would be inflicted. M. Browne and Co. v. Jervois Gr.M.Co. —Claim, £4, for goods sold. Judgment for amount claimed and costs.

Macky v. Coleman.—Claim £4 19s, balance of purchase money for land purchased at Waiorongomai. Judgment for amouut claimed, and costs £1 5s 6d. Gillan v. Kirkwood.—Claim £30, for the balance of the value of two horses and a trap sold by defendant on account of the plaintiff. Judgment for amount and costs £3145.

Miller v. Fryer.—Claim, £2 183 lid, judgment summons.—Ordered that the amount be paid within 14 days, or in default 14 days' imprisonment. K. T. Douglas v. Cocks.—Claim, £3 6a lOd, goods supplied by W. Gribble.— Judgment for amount and costs, 16s.

Earl v. Thorp.—This was a claim for £6 15s, value of nine sheep, and £5, plaintiff's expenses in looking for them. Mr Miller appeared for plaintiff, and stated the facts of the case. The plaintiff, his son, R. Comer, of Kerikeri, and a man named G. Fisher, were examined, the facts elicited being that the parties are two farmers at Owharoa, and their sheep occasionally got mixed. Towards the 'end of March Thorp drove some sheep to town, and Earl, finding nine.of his miss* ing, rode to town, and found one of them had been sold at Parawai with Thorp's drove. Thorp declined to give him any information about the others, but Detective Doolan found out that the sheep, had been turned out from the drove at Keri. keri. Thorp admitted driving the sheep down, and turning them out at Klerikeri, but did not tell Earl anything about them. For his little bit of unneighborlineßs the* R.M. gave judgment against him for £H 15s and cost £7 43.
