DEEP LEVEL CEOSS. What is probably the footwall branch of the crossreef was cut jn the crosscut at the 64Qft level yesterday, at a distance of 50ft from the small leader. It is 2£ft wide, and though showing no gold so far, is lying in favorable country, and the footwali portion especially looks well. Driving southward has been commenced on it, DARWIN. The 230 ft. level chamber has been excavated, and the men are now sinking the well-hole. The manager expects to make a start with the crosscut to intersect the reef on the boundary of the tws $laims next week. WEBAHIKO (TE AEOHA). The manager to-day lodged 57ozs 14dwts melted gold,.
