(Received April 18th, 1.20 p.m.) London, April 17. s Her Majesty the Queen has arrived safely at Darmstadt. Calcutta, April 18. Telegrams are to hand from Rangoon reporting that a most disastrous fire has occurred there, tremendous loss of property having resulted.

London, April 17.

A letter in reference to the recent death of the Duke of Albany has been addressed by the Queen to Sir William Vernon Harcourt, in the course of which Her Majesty thanks all her subjects for their loyal sympathy in her bereavement, and states that despite her deep sorrow at the death of Prince Leopold she will continue to labor for the good of her oountry and prosperity of her people.
