LABOUR REPORT.

R. M. Heighton and Co., 177 Queen streat, Auckland, report as follows :—The demand for men servants has increased, and thereby has enabled us to place many idle bands in situations to their satisfaction. Women servants are as usual in great demand during the last week. Engagements as follows: — Married couples for farms £60 to £80 j married couples for the bush, £90 and found; farm bands 16s to 20s; youths for milkers lOg to 17e 6d; bush-hands 6s to 7s per day and free house ; and other hands at miscellaneous wages. We have good carpenters waiting employment, 10s per day, and men cooks, bakers, &c. Women servants at usual quotations.
