Riot in Cincinnatti.
A serious riot has occurred at Cincin* natti. An immense mob, indignant at the leniency of a verdict returned against a prisoner who was being tried on a charge of murder, attacked and burned the prison in which the convict was placed. A force of United States' troops were called on to protect the prison, and a serious conflict ensued between the military and the rioter?, who exhibited desperate courage, and refused to yield until a large number had been shot down. Fully ICO persons were killed, and 300 are suffering from wounds of a serious nature. The emeute caused much excitement and alarm throughout the city and and in the neighborhood.

It is announced that Sir Henry Brougham Loch, E. 0.8., formerly Governor of the Isle of Man, has been appointed Governor of Victoria, vice Lord N ormanby.
The Funeral of tha late Prince
Leopold.
The funeral of the late Duke of Albany will take place at St. George's Chapel, Windsor, on Saturday next. Messages of condolence to the Queen, in consequence of the death of Prince Leopold, have been passed by both Houses of Parliament today.
The University Boat Race. The annual Inter University boat race takes place on the Thames on Monday next.
New Yobk, March 31 The Cincinnati Riot.
A force of 5000 troops are now in Cincinnati with the object of preventing farther rioting. The town continues in a very excited state. Capetown, March 31. Fighting in Zululand. News is to hand that tribal hostilities have broken out in Basutoland and Zululand, and tieavy fighting is proceeding o?er a krge area iv both countries.
