At the Supreme Court T. W. Carroll received 3 years' imprisonment for stealing clothes from the Dunedin gaol. In the case of W. Yromans, found guilty of indecent assault on a little girl, sentence was deferred. The jury are now oat on a charge acainst Henrietta Hunter, of stealing £10, the property of William Shaw. When arrested in Christchurch about £70 was found concealed in the feathers of her hat.
This day
The jury in Catherine Hunter's case were unable to agree, and a fresh trial will take place to-morrow. William Yeomans, convicted yesterday of indecent assault, was sentenced to three years. Emma Ellis and Bho^a Avery, for robbery from the person, were sentenced to nine months each.
