The City of Sydney and the Kotomahana had an ocean rane from Sydney to this port. The City of Sydney left Sydney Heads at 3.40 p.m. on Thursday, and the Sotomahana at 5.25, same date. The Kotomahana caught and passed her opponent on Friday afternoon, and reached here at 735 last night, the City of Sydney arriving here at 1.30 this morning.
Melom Dawson, a lad aged 14, was killed at Kaiwaka through the kick of a horse.
The New Zealand Insurance Company intend to pay the insurances in full on the Mataura's frozen meat.
Leonora is a strong favorite for the Easter Handicap at 6 to 4.
