The Late Regatta.

A meeting of the Regatta Committee was held last night to settle up the a flairs of the regatta on Monday last. Captain Bayldon wag in the chair. The protest of P. Harold, of the Lady Rath, ((gainst the Margaret Casey, for passing on the wrong side of the flagship in starting was disallowed, and the Committee decided to return the deposit. The Secretary presented a balance-sheet, which showed that the total receipts from subscriptions and entrance money amounted to £86 14s, while the expenses and prize money absorbed £76 15s sd, the' balance oq band being £§ Ify 74. agreed to give second prizes a 9 follows : — Cutter race, £4 ; open sailing; boats, 16 to 24ft, £1 10s; and steamers' and sailing vessels' dingies, £1. It was also decided to present Mr T. Farqubar, mate of the Botomahaoa, with a trophy of the value of a guinea, as a recognition of his services. This and several small accounts reduced the amount in hand to about £2.

The prizes were then presented by Mr Kirkpatrick as follows :—M. Casey, cup and £10; C. Bolton, teapot and £7; J. Cross,.cup and £5; V. Savage and crew, inkstand and £5; J. Jamieson, £4; >C Gentry, trophy and £4; W. Lucas, cup and £3; E. Boassey. cop and £3; C. Leathart, £3 ss; H. Gallagher, £3; C. Christiansen, £1 10s; C. Beid© £1 ; and W. Judd, trophy. He the "bull-punt" race and the ladies' pair*oared race (for the trophy presented by Mr Booth), it was decided that both events should be pulled off on the afternoon of Saturday, April sth. Entries for the ladies' race may be left at *C. McLiver's, under cover, addressed to the Secretary. An unallotted trophy was presented to the Secretary, votes of thanks were passed to Messrs Fraser and Tinne, and to Mr Curtis for the use of the room, after which the meeting separated.
